Kaitlyn R. Grajek

Ms. Grajek is an associate at McOmber & McOmber, P.C. and a resident of Union County. Ms. Grajek’s primary areas of practice are employment law and civil litigation. Ms. Grajek handles all aspects of employment litigation, including but not limited to matters involving discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, as well as non-compete, whistleblower and qui tam actions. Ms. Grajek also represents corporate clients including individual owners, directors, and managers in contract and business-tort disputes.
As an employment attorney, Ms. Grajek has experience litigating employment matters on behalf of both employees and employers. As a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association, Ms. Grajek believes that all workplaces should be free of discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge, and other such violations. Ms. Grajek is passionate about her role as a client advocate and is dedicated to providing focused attention to each matter.
Ms. Grajek also provides clients with guidance in general civil litigation. She advises and represents clients in civil disputes regarding contract matters, property disputes, municipal disputes, educational matters and tort claims. Ms. Grajek has experience litigating personal injury claims including slip and fall accidents, assaults, and other accidents involving negligence.
Ms. Grajek graduated cum laude from The College of New Jersey (“TCNJ”) where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in History and a minor in Politics, Law and Philosophy. At TCNJ, Ms. Grajek was a member of the Pre-Law Society and Phi Alpha Theta, the History National Honor Society.
After graduating early from TCNJ, Ms. Grajek attended Seton Hall University School of Law (“Seton Hall Law”) in Newark, New Jersey and earned a Juris Doctor degree. During law school, Ms. Grajek was a member of the Seton Hall Law Circuit Review Journal and a recipient of the Presidential Merit Scholarship. Ms. Grajek was also a student advocate for the Southern District of New York Mediation Practicum, where she provided representation for pro bono litigants in employment discrimination matters during the mediation and settlement process. As a student at Seton Hall Law, Ms. Grajek was a legal intern in the Center for Social Justice. While working at the Equal Justice Clinic, Ms. Grajek provided legal representation focused on ensuring disadvantaged groups equal access to justice. Ms. Grajek handled all aspects of client representation, including interviewing and client-counseling, factual and legal research, discovery, negotiation and contract interpretation. Ms. Grajek also regularly met with civilly-committed clients and enforced provisions of a class action settlement agreement. In March 2015, Ms. Grajek joined McOmber & McOmber, P.C. as a law clerk where she discovered her passion for employment law.
Ms. Grajek fulfilled her life-long dream of becoming an attorney when she was admitted to the New Jersey Court Bar. She lives in Cranford, New Jersey with her husband, Matthew Grajek, a Power Systems Engineer. Ms. Grajek loves sports and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
