On April 23, 2024, Lockridge Grindal Nauen PLLP along with Partner Charles J. Kocher of McOmber McOmber & Luber, P.C. filed this antitrust class action brought on behalf of persons and entities who indirectly purchased an Apple iPhone. The lawsuit alleges that the iPhones have inflated prices due to Apple’s monopolization of the smartphone markets. Apple’s alleged conduct has resulted in less choice for smartphone users. Only two companies (Google and Samsung) remain as meaningful competitors to Apple in the U.S. performance smartphone market. Because Apple continues to engage in the anticompetitive practices pled in the Complaint, Plaintiffs will likely incur overcharges when purchasing additional or replacement smartphones.
