On December 28, 2021, Partner Charles J. Kocher filed a class action in New Jersey Superior Court on behalf of over 100 Pepperidge Farm’s delivery drivers in New Jersey seeking to recover unlawful deductions from their pay checks because they were allegedly improperly classified as independent contractors when they were actually employees. On February 3, 2022, Pepperidge Farm transferred the case from state to federal court on the basis that there is over $9.5 million in controversy.
