Check out this ruling from U.S. District Court Judge Christine P. O’Hearn that granted certification to a litigated class of servers and bartenders at Phily Diner & Sports Bar in Runnemede, New Jersey who allege that they were not paid their proper wages since 2015. Many were paid below the cash floor of at least $2.13 per hour. The Court’s Order and Opinion may be found below.
According to Class Counsel Charles J. Kocher, Esq.: “Class certification is an important step along the way to proving that Phily Diner & Sports Bar harmed its servers and bartenders by violating not only the law but also the promise of a fair day’s pay for a fair day’s work.”
