Check out this ruling from U.S. District Court Judge Christine P. O’Hearn that granted certification to a litigated class of servers and bartenders at a restaurant in New Jersey who allege that they were not paid their proper wages since 2015. Many were paid below the cash floor of at least $2.13 per hour. The Court’s Order and Opinion may be found below.
According to Class Counsel Charles J. Kocher, Esq.: “Class certification is an important step along the way to proving that the management at the restaurant harmed its servers and bartenders by violating not only the law but also the promise of a fair day’s pay for a fair day’s work.”
